Tyler Waterfield is one of the founding members of Volunteer Law and is a practiced attorney with significant experience in workers’ compensation litigation, as well as general civil litigation, including tort, family, and contract law.
Tyler graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a focus on American Law and its court system. Tyler then attended Albany Law School of Union University in New York where he obtained his Juris Doctorate. During his time in Albany, Tyler was a member of the Student Bar Association and held leadership positions in several school sponsored organizations. Tyler was admitted to the New York Bar and practiced primarily in workers’ compensation before returning to Tennessee in 2016. Tyler is now admitted to practice in New York and Tennessee, and in addition to his work in civil litigation, has continued to focus on workers’ compensation, keeping apprised of numerous changes to Tennessee law and its effect on injured workers in order to aggressively advocate for his clients and better help those in need. In doing so, Tyler has successfully represented numerous clients and achieved positive results from the Tri-Cities to Memphis and everywhere in-between.
Tyler lives in Knoxville with his family and enjoys spending time with his son Wesley. In his free time, Tyler loves to play golf, go to the lake, and attend basketball and football games to cheer on the Vols.
